Scratch 3.0 makes its Funside School debut in September!

Be among the first students in Hungary to learn programming in English with the brand new Scratch 3.0 at Funside’s after school program, starting in September!

Funside School is making the switch to the newest version of Scratch right after its worldwide premiere, so the school year of 2018/19 is going to bring some exciting new experiences to our students and teachers as well. Scratch 3.0 aims to expand the ways kids can create and share, and the new version will also include new images, new support materials and new programming capabilities.

Here are some of the new features Scratch 3.0 will bring to Funside School:

  • Create, share, and remix projects on tablets (in addition to laptops and desktops)
  • Choose from dozens of new characters, backgrounds and sounds
  • New paint and sound editors make it easier to remix and manipulate characters, music, and sounds
  • With the new “Extensions” children can program physical devices (like Lego WeDo and Boost robots) and web services (like Google Translate)

Scratch 3.0 is still the programming language our students fell in love with: all existing projects and accounts will continue to work, and all existing programming blocks will still be there – while they’re adding some new ones!

Funside School’s next school year starts in mid-September! Learn more…
